Born in the Netherlands, Wytske moved to Britain in 1975 and started silversmithing at the Hereford College of Art in 1984, where she completed her City of Guilds qualification.
She set up a workshop in 1999 which she shares with her colleague and jeweller Debby Marsh. Together they run The Silver Workbench, providing non vocational classes as well as designing and making their own work.
Wytske's inspiration is influenced by her Dutch heritage and by contemporary architectural design. She always challenges herself and rarely makes the same thing twice. Her designs are never put on paper except for initial sketches. The pieces she makes range in size from miniature watering cans to spoons and larger pieces such as bowls. Wytske's work is for sale by contacting her directly.
